Inventory tracking has never been easier or more detailed. Checkout Professional has built in reports to assist with inventory counting and reconciliation. Once a physical inventory count is performed you can easily update the quantity of your items in stock. When the stock level needs to be corrected, you can associate a reason code along with the stock level change. A china store has very different reasons than a hardware store for loss. Checkout Professional lets you create your own reason codes and run reports based on those codes to write losses off at the end of an accounting period. There are also stock inflation considerations, vendor promotions or items purchased for resale without a purchase order could cause inventory discrepancies.
